A Geography as Vivid as the People that Inhabit it...

North Town
This city on the northern tip of the island is the location where the first explorers set foot in Gichadia.  Five large plantations were immiediatley established on the island along with barracks, quarters and storage facilities for ships continuing on their voyage.  Today, modern buildings are constructed right across the street from one hundred year old establishments.

Northern Highway
The highway that runs between North Town and Port Cote is a two-lane, paved road.  It stays close to the beach the entire length of the Northern Peninsula, offering endless places to pull over and relax on the white sand.

Port Cote
The capital and main port of entry in Gichadia is also the largest city.  It is fairly modern, offering a great place for boat morrage in the Cote Bay.  The city is named after the first sea captain to chart the depths of the surrounding inlet.

Places of Interest: boardwalk and waterfront, government campus, Gichadian National History Museum, Port Cote University

Southern Highway
The longest roadway segment on the island travels between Port Cote and Skaget.  Most of the way, it is a one lane mud highway that winds though hills in the dense overgrowth and tropical forest.  It is highly recommended you have a reliable vehicle as there are no inhabitants along the road that can help you in the event of a break-down.

Skaget
The smallest urban community in Gichadia is on the southern tip and is a sleepy fishing village.  There is little in vertical development here and most of the houses are very primitive.  Few tourists take the hard journey along the Southern Highway to get here, so expect to be followed by curious inhabitants.
